Safe Shopping & Fraud Awareness

Online shopping fraud often uses the names of real stores. This page explains how IndiasBuy communicates with customers, what we will never ask for, and what to do if something does not feel right.

What we will never ask for

IndiasBuy will never ask you, by phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp:

  • for an OTP (one-time password) sent to your phone or email;
  • for your UPI PIN, ATM or card PIN, or card CVV;
  • for your passwords or net banking login details; or
  • to install a screen-sharing or remote-access app on your phone or computer.

Anyone asking for these is not acting for IndiasBuy, even if they know your name or order details. Remember that you never need to enter your UPI PIN to receive money.

During checkout, your bank or UPI app may ask for an OTP or PIN on its own screen, and signing in to your account may need a code sent to your email. Enter these only on the payment or sign-in screen you opened yourself, and never read them out or send them to anyone. If a courier partner uses a delivery code to confirm handover, share it only in person with the delivery agent when you actually receive your parcel.

Support hours Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM IST

After dispatch, you receive your tracking number (AWB) and tracking link by SMS, WhatsApp or email. If you get a message in our name that you are unsure about, do not reply to it or tap its links. Contact us yourself using the details above or our contact page.

Beware of fake websites, calls and links

  • Check the address: our website is indiasbuy.com. Look carefully for misspellings, extra words, hyphens or a different ending that imitates it.
  • Type it yourself: open the website by typing indiasbuy.com or using a saved bookmark, instead of tapping links in unexpected messages or ads.
  • Track safely: check your order's status through the tracking link sent to you after dispatch, or on our track your order page, not through links from unknown senders.
  • Watch for pressure: urgent demands to pay, "lucky draw" or prize messages, and requests for a fee before you receive something are common signs of fraud.
  • Unexpected calls: fraudsters may pose as our staff, a courier or a bank. Hang up and contact us on our official channels.
  • Look-alike pages and ads: pages, groups or ads that use our name may not be ours. Check any offer on indiasbuy.com itself.

Pay safely

Pay for orders only through the checkout on indiasbuy.com, using the online payment options shown there, or by Cash on Delivery where available. If anyone asks you to pay another way, such as to a personal UPI ID, by scanning a QR code or through a payment link sent in a message, stop and check with us on our official channels first. Read more about our payment options.

If you suspect fraud

  1. Stop: do not share any more details or make any further payment.
  2. Contact your bank: if money or card details are involved, call your bank or card issuer straight away to block the card or account and report the transaction.
  3. Report it: report the fraud on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in, or call the cyber crime helpline on 1930. Report as soon as possible, as quick reporting improves the chance of the money being blocked.
  4. Keep evidence: save screenshots, phone numbers, website addresses, UPI IDs and transaction references.
  5. Tell us: email ing.bharatbuy@gmail.com or WhatsApp us so that we can check whether your order is affected.
