IndiasBuy wants everyone to be able to browse and shop on indiasbuy.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers or other assistive technologies.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), these guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. In designing and updating the website, we work towards:
- Clear headings: a logical heading structure on each page, so that screen-reader users can move between sections easily.
- Text alternatives: alternative (alt) text that describes product and content images.
- Keyboard navigation: menus, product options, the cart and forms that can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Colour contrast: text and controls with enough contrast against their background, without relying on colour alone to convey information.
- Resizable text: text that can be enlarged up to 200% with browser zoom without losing content or functions.
- Clear links and forms: link text that says where a link goes, and form fields with labels and helpful error messages.
Known limitations
Some parts of the website may not yet fully meet these standards:
- Third-party widgets and services: features provided by others, such as payment gateway pages, chat widgets, courier tracking pages and embedded content, are outside our direct control and may not meet the same standard.
- Product images: images come from product listings, and some contain text or details that may not be fully described in their alt text.
- Content being updated: we are revising pages and product listings, and some may not yet follow every guideline.
We address these issues as we update the website and as they are reported to us.
Tips for using the website
- Use your browser's zoom to enlarge text: press Ctrl and + on Windows, or Command and + on a Mac.
- Use the Tab key to move between links and controls, and Enter to activate them.
- Use our sitemap to reach any page quickly, or the Help Center for answers to common questions.

- the web address (URL) or name of the page;
- what you were trying to do and what went wrong; and
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use, such as a screen reader.
Our support hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM IST, and our average answer time is within 24 hours. If you cannot complete a task on the website, contact us and we will try to help, for example by sharing product details or order updates by email or WhatsApp.
